Roger Porter

Mr. Porter, 44, grew up in Memphis, TN and has been in the aviation industry his entire life. He has a Bachelor of Administration degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Memphis State University. He holds his A&P licenses and a pilot’s license.
During his high school years, he worked with his father running the family FBO and after graduating in 1982, he joined Federal Express Corporation. He initially started his career sorting packages in the HUB operations and then transferred to Aircraft Maintenance as a mechanic. Over the next 19 years he held various positions in line and base maintenance and worked his way up to Senior Manager of Memphis Maintenance Control and Line Maintenance Hangar Operations.
In 2001, he left Federal Express and joined Linden Street Capital Corporation (LSC), a vendor to Federal Express and EADS Aeroframe Services, to become their President and CEO. Within 4 years, he grew the company holdings from a single 145 Repair Station to include an aircraft PMA parts manufacturing division and two new 145 repair Stations, one of which was foreign.
In mid 2005, EADS decided to exit the aircraft maintenance business and close Aeroframe Services in Lake Charles. Mr. Porter, upon hearing of this decision, successfully negotiated the acquisition of EADS Aeroframe Services, LLC. which was renamed Aeroframe Services. Subsequently, Mr. Porter relinquished his position from Linden Street Capital and took over as President and CEO of Aeroframe Services. He remains a minority owner and board member of Linden Street Capital.
Led by Mr. Porter, Aeroframe Services overhauled its marketing plan and pricing models and installed a piece rate system which produced revolutionary productivity gains. As a result, the company’s sales and employment have grown dramatically and in 2007, the operation became profitable for the first time in its history. Aeroframe Services acquired Aeroframe Airepairs in October, 2007.
Roger is married to Laurie Porter and he has two sons, Allen, age 18 and Michael, age 8. Laurie also holds A&P licenses and is a certified Dive master. Roger and his wife are active in the local community, serving on several community boards.
